We love all the products we stock and hope you do too, if you receive an item you are dissatisfied with please contact us immediately so we can correct the problem.
While Retro America does our very best to provide you with quality products and we endeavour to accurately describe all our products we understand that things sometimes go wrong or occasionally get lost in translation. We happily accept returns if you feel an item has been inaccurately described providing it is in the condition you received it in – we know our products inside and out and have detailed photos of everything so please don't try to be dishonest, it just belittles both parties and creates bad karma (for you).
We are happy to refund the costs of freight if the whoopsie is our fault.
Remember to contact us if you need to return an item and we'll provide you with detailed instructions, please don't return anything without contacting us first.
We do not provide refunds unless the item is faulty, if you change your mind or the item is incorrect we are happy to provide you with a store credit or exchange the item for something else. Straight Cut Clothing offer an Appro service if there are several items of clothing you'd like to try, you'll find full details on their website.
Cosmetics, grooming products, wigs, earrings, hats, hosiery, bathing suits or intimate wear are not returnable for health reasons.
Garage Sale items can not be returned (unless they are faulty)
We do not provide refunds unless we have incorrectly described the item or it is faulty, if you change your mind, or the size is incorrect we will provide you with a store credit or you are welcome to exchange it for another product.
Shipping Expenses on Return Products
Shipping expenses to return the product to us and for any exchange items requested are at the cost of the purchaser, unless Retro America has messed up, in that case we will pay for the shipping costs
If you are returning an item you need to do the following:
Contact us via email or the contact us page of our website to notify us about the product being returned - we need to know what product is being returned, your contact details, why you're returning the item and whether you'd like a store credit or to exchange it for something else. If you'd like to exchange the item for something else we need to know the details of that product too.
Once you have received approval from us, wrap the items and package them securely. Arrange shipping, if you don't have a relationship with a courier NZ Post can help you with shipping. For your own benefit we recommend that you insure the parcel (it may cost you an extra buck or two but it'll be worth it if the parcel gets lost!), we also recommend that you arrange for the parcel to be tracked. Please include a note in the parcel with your full name, address, phone number, email address, what you're returning and why and whether you'd like a store credit or to exchange it for something else. If you'd like to exchange the item for something else we need to know the details of that product too (description, size, colour etc).
You will not receive any grief from us as long as the item/s you're returning are in ORIGINAL condition. It's sad to even have to say this, but original condition means: items AND boxes in original condition, tags must be intact, no stains, dirt, food, animal hair, colognes, perfumes, lotions, body grease, cosmetics, bodily excretions, cigarette smoke or other foul smells to emit from the pristine package you originally received. The item must not have any additional scratches, dents or paint added or missing. Please DO NOT wash the item (in particular clothing) and expect a refund, we can only accept returns of products in the same condition you received the goods in - we know what a new product looks like.
We offer a 30 day return window - NO returns are permitted after 30 days.
